2021
January-March- Cinder spent the first 3 months of 2021 at her co-owner's house while her sister, Skye, had puppies. She came back SO beautiful. It's amazing what living with a groomer will do for coat.
April- Easter weekend saw Cinder and her daughter, Paisley, up in Manitowoc, WI Thursday and Sunday Cinder was Best of Winners for 2 points each day and Paisley was Reserve Winner's Bitch. So proud of my girls.
July- Lis and I had Cinder entered in the NODROG Gordon Setter specialty July 9, the MI Sporting Dog Association specialty July 9. Cinder was Reserve Winner's Bitch at the Gordon Specialty under Judge Candace Radziewicz and Winner's Bitch and Best of Winner's for a 5 point major to finish at the Sporting Dog specialty!! Thank you to Judge Karolynne McAteer for giving my girl the win. July 10 we moved her up and she was Select Bitch at the NODROG specialty for a 5 pt Grand major under Judge Robert Ennis. I want to thank Danielle Frykman for taking and showing my girl when Lis had a family matter come up.
August- August 1 at the Gordon Setter Supported Entry at the Waukesha, WI shows Cinder was Select Bitch for a 5 point major with Sarah Foster showing her to the win. She now has 10 grand champion points- 2 majors, and 2 wins with competition.
September- The middle of September we are heading to the Gordon Setter National Specialty in Virginia Beach, VA. Fingers crossed that we come home with some ribbons.
My girls came back from the National with lots and lots of wins! I was unable to attend last minute thanks to a positive Covid test the Sunday before we were supposed to leave. Lots of thanks to Kristie and Sarah Foster for taking Cinder, Paisley, and Jeté. Sarah worked her feet off showing the girls.
Saturday (9/18) was the Mid-Atlantic Area Regional Specialty. Cinder was Select Bitch for a 5 point major and then went on to win the Brood Bitch class with her daughters Paisley & Primrose. Junior Showmanship saw Sarah & Cinder going Best Junior Handler!
The 2021 Gordon Setter National Specialty started on Sunday 9/19 and ran through Tuesday 9/21. Cinder was entered on the Best of Breed competition and the Brood Bitch class. She made the cut in breed and was 3rd in the Brood Bitch class. Lis De Souza flew on Monday and was able to show our girl!

January- The 15th and 16th were the Winnegamie Dog Shows in Oshkosh, WI. On Saturday, Judge Gordon Rayburn awarded Cinder Best of Opposite Sex for a 3 point grand champion major. On Sunday, Cinder was Select Bitch for another 3 point grand champion major under Judge Patricia Nemirovsky de Alsina. ONLY 2 MORE POINTS to finish her Grand champion title!
February- The 11th Allison Miller headed off to her first grooming competition in Novi, MI with Cinder and a labradoodle. Saturday was the sporting dog grooming competition. Allison did great and Cinder looked amazing. Then since Cinder was already in Novi I had entered Cinder at the dog show running at the same time. Cinder was Best of Opposite Sex for a 4 point grand major to finish her Grand Champion title!! Thank you to Judge Anne Marie Taylor for recognizing my girl. So thankful to Danielle Frykman, Sarah Foster, & Lis Johnston for piloting Cinder to her wins. Next Cinder will be spending some time in the whelping box.
The end of February Cinder was bred. Puppies expected the end of April. Update: No puppies for Cinder. I'm so disappointed.
May- Cinder went to live in Golden, CO with Kathy Jonke. Kathy had Cinder's mom. Cinder is enjoying life without Jeté bossing her around. She is greatly missed.
