Lena is a Danish-Swedish Farmdog that I co-own with Deb Ferrel. Lena lives with Deb but comes to play at my house frequently. Farmdogs are an old Scandinavian breed but are fairly new to the United States. In the AKC, they are currently in the Miscellaneous Group but will eventually be moving to the Working Group. They are a small, compact, muscular dog that loves to be with their people.
August 25-28- Laurie, Deb, Lena, the Farm dog, and Jete the Gordon Setter headed to Ladysmith to participate in the Dodge Country Canine Club's UKC shows. They offered 2 shows per day. Lena was in the Novice Puppy class for 3-6 month puppys, no points but wonderful experiences for babies. On Thursday, Lena was Reserve BIS-Puppy for both shows with Laurie showing her and on Friday, Deb showed her to 2 BIS-Puppy! Saturday we took a day off and Sunday just had ring experience. We had a wonderful time. Jete the Gordon finished her UKC champion title with 3 group placements.
October- The 10th Lena gets to go to a Barn Hunt class. Should be right up her alley! She was a bit afraid of the rat- it was almost at big and she was. We will try again when she gets older.
2023
March- Dr Greer (Lena's breeder) took Lena to the Louisville, KY shows where she picked up 2 points toward her Certificate of Merit.

August- Deb and I took Lena to the Waukesha, WI Fast-Cat trials. Lena was not sure what it was all about. She finally figured out Deb was at the other end of the lane and ran to her. She needs just less than 92 out of 150 points to finish her B-Cat title.
2024
February- Lena went to the Renaissance Cluster in Madison WI and came back with anther point toward her Certificate of Merit. She went Best in Miscellaneous Group, 12 points to go until she has her CM. Deb's life has gotten crazy with new grandchildren (4 in 2 1/2 years) so we haven't been able to get to too many shows.
